e-Democracy
It's the way in which Internet can be used to improve our democratic processes and increase the opportunities for individuals and communities to interact with the government.
Internet's characteristics mean that there is greater participation, as they allow the limitations caused by geography, physical invalidity or other factors to be overcome. It also makes it easier for individuals and groups that had not been previously included to access the information.
The two central themes on which the concept of e-Democracy is based are e-participation and the e-vote.
